Lucas Desbouis, a defensive back from CĆ©gep de Trois-RiviĆØres, and Benjamyn Lachaine, a defensive lineman from CĆ©gep rĆ©gional de LanaudiĆØre, are ready to make a difference with the Bishopās Gaiters.

Lucas Desbouis
When Lucas Desbouis chose the Gaiters, he knew it was exactly what he wanted.
āI decided to commit to this school because the facilities at Bishop’s University are really amazing, especially their sports facilities,ā he says. āI also chose this university because it will be a truly enriching experience for me to play for this great football team and mostly to study in English and to be able to finish my studies by being completely bilingual.ā
The potential sociology student adds that, āI think that the coaching staff at Bishop’s University is very competent and really close to their players. I especially like the way players are coached at Bishop.ā
Desbouis spent four years playing with Les Diablos du CĆ©gep de Trois-RiviĆØres (RSEQ Division 2). He is from Bois-des-Filion, QuĆ©bec. Standing at 5ā11″, 160lbs, he was named as the ābest defensive playerā for the 2018-2019 season.

Benjamyn Lachaine
For Benjamyn Lachaine, Bishopās offered him a chance to remain at his defensive lineman position. He said he chose the school because of the football program and facilities.
āThe coaching staff look cool and very close with the players,ā he adds.

The future history major is 6ā2″, 265lbs. From 2012 to 2015, he played with Les BĆ©liers dāHenri-Bourassa (RSEQ). He then spent two years with Les Aigles de l’Ć©cole de l’AmitiĆ© (RSEQ) before joining Les Triades du CĆ©gep rĆ©gional de LanaudiĆØre (RSEQ Division 3) for three.
In 2013, the product of LāAssomption, QuĆ©bec won an academic award. In 2015, he was named as ādefensive lineman of the year.ā
