CFC50 Weekend Watch (9): East coast storm brews as No. 37 Citadel takes on NR Auburn

Around the country, there are some great matchups happening between CFC50 high school teams. Here is a look at what you can expect this weekend.

Heading into the last week of regular season play across the country for most provinces, many teams have already secured a first round bye. A couple leagues are already into their first round of playoffs.

This week there is a terrific matchup between CFC50 Citadel Phoenix and the NR Auburn Eagles. Citadel remains undefeated heading into the match, 7-0, while Auburn is 6-1. The Eagles lost to CP Allen in the Scotia division who also sits with a 6-1 record. This is the game we have been looking forward to all season. It is the CFC50 game of the week. Check out the full game preview here!

Another couple games to keep you eyes on are the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers and Mission Roadrunners in B.C. Mission came on to the CFC50 rankings last week with their strong performances this season. With a point differential of +103 compared to LT at +99, this should be a highly competitive game. There are a few more playmakers on the Panthers team, but Mission has been tough all season so we’ll see how that pans out.

In Calgary, the St. Francis Browns will tackle the Henry Wise Wood Warriors. While the Warriors record is 4-1, the Browns sit slightly behind them at 3-1. There is no love lost between these two teams, so look for a hard nosed game to be played.
