WOLFE: Elite level talent? Says who?

My last several articles have dealt with recruiting issues. I will now take a different approach; that of a coach; how does a coach evaluate a prospect? There are many terms thrown around – “blue chip player” – “5 star recruit” – “ elite prospect” etc. Coaches generally qualify recruits in 4 separate areas – a) athletic ability and potential, b) academics GPA etc, c) character, d) the recruits interest in your school.
