WOLFE: Changing the game? What do the numbers say

I have offered several articles on the need to create the safest possible game, and that player safety is an ongoing challenge. I believe this to be so important an issue, that I return once again. I like many who have been a part of football for years, want to preserve the game, and in fact, would love to see it grow.

I recently had a long and wide-ranging conversation with Aaron Geisler, Manager of Development for Football Canada. The primary purpose of my call was to get a sense for the numbers of athletes and teams currently competing in Canadian amateur football.
