Windsor coaches invested in commit

Windsor adds a local commit to their 2019 class.

When Ryan Nono, a defensive back from Ɖcole secondaire l’Essor, joins the University of Windsor Lancers, he knows he will be treated like one of the family.

ā€œI chose to commit to Windsor because they were invested in me and it was a good decision academically as well,ā€ Nono said, who is interested in either human kinetics or biochemistry.

ā€œThe head coach just stepped down, but after talking multiple times with the defensive back coach and recruiting coordinator, I can tell the Windsor football staff treats their players like a family (and) brotherhood,ā€ he added.

Standing at 5ā€™10, 180lbs, Nono has played for the Essex Ravens (OPFL) and the Lā€™Essor Aigles (WECSSAA). He was a 2018 defensive MVP for the Aigles and won a WECSSAA and SWOSSAA championship for the past two years. He was also named to the WECSSAA all-city team as a hybrid linebacker-defensive back. The product of Tecumseh, Ontario, was also given an early-bird invite to the final roster of the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
