Waterloo players begin to transfer

The deadline the Waterloo players gave the university to reinstate the program has come and go with no reinstatement announced. It is expected that about one half of the players will transfer to others universities in order to continue CIS football careers.

CFC has spoken to many CIS coaches who already are busy fielding phone calls and receiving transcripts from possible waterloo transfers.

The last school to fold its program was Carleton after the 1998 season. Ottawa U benefited the most from that folding, winning the Vanier Cup in 2000. Could Wilfrid Laurier benefit in a similar fashion?

Queens University may have the inside track on top QB recruit Billy McPhee.

Stay tuned to CFC for all the developments.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
