Warriors welcome a southern Ontario commit to their 2020 class.

It didnā€™t take long for Jacob Iudiciani, an offensive lineman from A.N. Myer Secondary School, to feel right at home with the Waterloo Warriors.

ā€œRight off the bat, the people at Waterloo were outstanding,ā€ Iudiciani says. ā€œThe coaches are very welcoming, and from the players Iā€™ve talked to, [theyā€™re] all character guys and great people.ā€

Iudiciani, who is from Niagara Falls, Ontario, added that the city of Waterloo is beautiful. ā€œI love it.Ā  And from an academic perspective, itā€™s a great school.ā€

The potential law student will be looking to shore up the teamā€™s offensive line. Standing at 6ā€™3, 270lbs, he says that he will be spending most of his time with Matt Fraser, the teamā€™s offensive line coach.

ā€œHeā€™s been great to me, just a great guy and a great coach,ā€ Iudiciani says. ā€œThe rest of the coaches are great, all so kind and welcoming to the Warrior family.ā€

Iudiciani has been playing football with the A.N. Myer Marauders (NRHSAA) for four years. He also played three years of Niagara Minor Football beforehand, spending one season with the Niagara Generals and two with the Niagara Spears.

During his time with the Marauders, he helped his team win three NRHSAA championships. In grade ten, the team made it to the Metro Bowl semifinals. ā€œNot a lot of teams in Niagara have made it to the Metro Bowl playoffs, and we were one of them.ā€

When he joins the Warriors, however, Iudiciani has his sights set on U Sports top football prize. ā€œIā€™m willing to do whatever it takes to help Waterloo win a Vanier Cup.”
