London linebacker joins OUA team’s 2014 class.

A London, Ontario linebacker was impressed by everything one school could offer him.

Consequently, Thomas Waight committed to the Guelph Gryphons for the 2014 OUA season.

“I chose Guelph because I love the city of Guelph and the recruiting process was very personal,” explained Waight.  “They have very knowledgeable coaches and just an overall great atmosphere.”

The 6’2 230 pound linebacker joins the Gryphons after completing his high school career with Oakridge Oaks of Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA).  This past season, he registered 50 tackles and recorded two sacks with the Oaks.  Moreover, Waight played for the London Jr. Mustangs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

This past July, Waight helped Team Ontario to a bronze medal finish at the 2013 Football Canada Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick.
