Actually, he’s not just playing, he’s starring. Through five games, Boyd, a starting running back for the Toronto Argonauts (3-2, Eastern division), leads the league with 484 rushing yards on 75 carries, a 6.5 yard per carry average. He has a rushing touchdown and 24 yards on six receptions.

Boyd isn’t the only one with Palmetto State ties playing in the Great White North.
Spartanburg High School and Furman product Joel Bell is in his second season as a offensive lineman with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-1, Western division).

Former South Carolina tackle is with the British Columbia Lions (1-4, Western division). Former South Carolina defensive back Brandon Isaac is with the Calgary Stampeders (401, Western division). Isaac has one sack this season.

Furman wide receiver Brian Bratton is in his fourth season with the Montreal Alouettes (4-1, Eastern Division) and has 16 ctaches for 198 yards and a touchdown and six carries for 59 yards through five games.
