U Sports Recruiting Analysis (CWUAA): Dobie lands another solid class

Over the next several weeks, we will be reviewing the U Sports team’s 2017 class in order to better assess all the recruiting madness.

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Since Coach Dobie started at the University of Manitoba, he has built his program by recruiting the best players in his own province, a boat load of junior players – mostly from BC, and a handful of elite level high school players from various parts of the country.

The 2017 class is no different then many of the other classes which have kept Manitoba competitive and in the hunt throughout Dobie’s career. This might be one of the better recruiting classes in all of Canada, but has simply flown under the radar because of the efforts of two other schools in CanWest that grabbed a lot of the early headlines and the headlines coming out of the Christmas break.

When will the Bison’s win their next conference championship even though the UofC and the Thunderbirds get most of the press in CanWest?
