Two NCAA offers & counting

CFC TOP 100 & Manitoban defensive end nets two NCAA Division 1 offers from same state

For the past month, it has been an exciting time on the recruitment trail for CFC TOP 100 Mason Bennett.

Back on June 23rd, Bennett received his first NCAA Division 1 offer (partial) from North Dakota State Bison.  His second (partial) was from North Dakota Fighting Sioux.  Both schools compete in Division I’s Football Championship Subdivision.

The CFC TOP 100 defensive end has played for the Vincent Massey Trojans of the Winnipeg High School Football League (WHSFL) and the Fort Garry Lions.

Among the honours the Trojans standout has achieved during his career include WHSFL Lineman of the Year, Trojans Lineman of the Year, and 2013 WHSFL ‘AAA’ All-Star selection.

This summer, Bennett made plans to attend NCAA junior days as well as football camps in the United States and Canada at the CIS level to gain more exposure.

Moreover, the CFC TOP 100 defensive end has been training with Jeff Fisher, who is a Winnipeg based trainer with ties to the NFL, CFL, NHL and university sports in both countries.  Fisher has helped Mason gain some weight (from 203 to 230 pounds) while bringing his 40 yard time down (5.1 to 4.7).

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
