Tragedy hits the X-Men family as former player shot

As reported by Ottawa Police, former X-Men running back, Ashton Dickson was shot to death in Ottawa early Monday morning.

25 year old, Dickson was with the X-Men from 2010 to 2015 and was the team’s all-time leading rusher. In 2015, he rushed for 1320 all-purpose yards, with 866 rushing yards to go along with 5 touchdowns. Career wise, he rushed for 3178 yards.

As a 2nd team All-Canadian, Dickson was part of the X-Men’s first conference championship. He was a finalist for the Hec Crighton award and was invited to the CFL East Regional Combine.

Ottawa police are asking for any information from the public.
