Toronto Thunder Varsity…defense, defense, defense

The Varsity Toronto Thunder are looking forward to the kick off to the 2010 Summer Ontario Varsity Football League season. Defense, Defense, Defense. The Thunder hope to ride that defense late in the season. Let the fun begin this Saturday as the Thunder travel to Kingston to face the Grenadiers.

TEAM STRENGTH…

Defence is our strength. Our defence will be strong and fast with a good combination of veteran players and players who have moved up from JV. Offensively our strength will be in our passing game. Our QB and receivers will be strong.

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL WE MUST…
Work on fundamentals in every practice, such as blocking and tackling. As coaches we must create an enthusiastic learning environment for our players where they can translate what they have learned in practice to game situations. We must play disciplined and consistent football where we limit penalties and eliminate turnovers. We must play hard fast football without hesitation. We must play great special teams, create turnovers and score.
