Toronto defensive end Ayeni signs with NCAA’s Iowa State

Terry Ayeni has made it official.

The 6’4, 230 pound defensive end from Toronto, Ontario signed today with NCAA FBS Division team Iowa State Cyclones.

Ayeni had other offers from Northern Illinois, Idaho, Middle Tennessee State and Bethune-Cookman.Β  However, the defensive standout settled on the Cyclones.

Recently, Ayeni played for JUCO’s New Mexico Military Institute.Β  This past season, he registered 19 tackles (nine assisted, ten solo – average of 2.7 tackles per game).

Among the teams Ayeni has suited up for in Canada include Burlington Braves of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL), Metro Toronto Wildcats of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Central Technical Blues of the of the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA).

Ayeni also played for high school teams George W Hewlett Bulldogs (Hewlett, New York) and Andrew Jackson Colonels (Chalmette, Louisiana).
