Team World Names 3 from CJFL

Three Canadian Junior Football League players have been named to the World Team roster.

The team will face USA Football’s junior national team, comprised of the top high school seniors, at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, January 30. Team World is currently made up of 43 players from eight countries and four continents.

Jerit Lambert from the Edmonton Wildcats, Tyler Crapigna from the Ottawa Sooners and Mike Dubuisson of the St Leonard Cougars all CJFL standouts were named today.

Lambert a receiver is the 2009 CJFL rookie of the year. He caught 28 passes for 457 yards, scoring 5 touchdowns. Also a returner for the Prairie Football Conference champions, Jerit returned 10 kick offs for 333 yards and a TD as well as 18 punts for another 217 yards and another TD.

Crapigna punted 29 times for 977 yards and kicked off 13 times for 766 yards for the OFC champions.

Dubuisson is a 2009 OFC All Star at defensive back. He finished the season with 73 defensive points including 5 interceptions.

NFL Network will provide live coverage of the game, which is designated an official Pro Bowl Week event by the NFL, at 12 noon ET on January 30. The game will follow AFC and NFC Pro Bowl practices, which conclude earlier that day, and admission to both events is free
