Team Ontario (East & West) looking strong during tryouts: 2 tryouts left in Guelph & Unionville


Both U-18 teams in Ontario got off to a tremendous start over the last couple weeks with over 200 players trying out for the teams that participate in the Under 18 National tournament (Football Canada Cup) run by Football Canada.

This is the 17th annual Football Canada Cup (FCC) tournament. This year’s tournament includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario – West, Ontario – East, Quebec & Nova Scotia. Saskatchewan are the defending champions. The tournament will take place in July (Lethbridge, AB – 9th to 16th) as it has the past 16 years. The FCC is the best pre-university football game experience in Canada for 16 and 17 year old players.

Team East – Last Friday the University of Toronto hosted over 60 players and included a great combination of size and speed. Ottawa’s tryout this past Saturday provided 65 more players the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Team West – The University of Western and McMaster University hosted over 50 players last weekend and both provided the coaches with a great number of talented young athletes to select from.

Ontario Football Alliance would like to announce that prospective players both Team East and Team West have one more opportunity to attend an open tryout. The last open tryouts are listed below. The cost of the tryouts are $20 online and $30 at the field. Full gear is required.
