The final selection camp for both Team Ontario West & Team Ontario East is slated for May 15th at McMaster University in Hamilton. The final camp, which is invite only, will include a scrimmage between both squads and will determine who will represent Ontario at the Football Canada Cup, under-18 national championship (Lethbridge, AB).
Team East Head Coach Tom Timlin and Team West Head Coach Rob Underhill will select the top 40 players in their region to complete their rosters. Invitations to the camp will be sent out over the next couple of days.
Both U-18 teams in Ontario got off to a tremendous start over the last couple weeks with over 200 players trying out. The final roster selection process will not be an easy one this year but the coaching staffs are excited about the large turn out and the level of talent they’ve seen at each try-out. Ontario Football Alliance will announce the final rosters shortly after the May 15th final selection camp.
