Overall, the X-Men are thrilled to secure their first commit from their near their own backyard.

For his part, Rogers had three main factors that tipped the scale in the X-Men’s favour.

“I committed to StFX because I really enjoy what they are doing with their team, they are young team with much potential and they just came off of a Conference Championship,” said the New Brunswick standout.

Ultimately, the X-Men are looking forward to welcoming Rogers playmaking abilities to the football program.

“Matt is has a great frame and really shows versatility, he comes across as a young man who is really excited about his opportunity here at X, we can’t wait to get him into our system and let him compete,” expressed X-Men Offensive Coordinator Steve Snyder.
