Staying locally

Tecumseh linebacker signs with OUA team.

There was never a doubt where Jordan Thrasher would play CIS football.

The 5ā€™11, 200 pound linebacker from Tecumseh, Ontario will suit up for the local team, Windsor Lancers.Ā  Thrasher will join the team for the 2014 OUA season.

ā€œI committed to the Lancers because Windsor is my home and I have grown up watching and rooting for them my whole life,ā€ explained Thrasher of his decision.Ā  ā€œI’ve never had any intention of going anywhere but the University of Windsor to become a Lancer football player.ā€

Thrasher played at both the linebacker and running back positions for the Lā€™Essor Aigles of the Windsor and Essex County Secondary School Athletic Association (WECSSAA).Ā  During his time there, he was named Arnott Division Defensive MVP.
