Coaching dedication

Eric Starczala

Cambridge offensive lineman recently joins OUA team’s 2014 class.

An Ontario standout knew the moment he stepped foot onto a CIS school that it was the place where he wanted to commence his CIS career.

Recently, Eric Starczala committed to the Guelph Gryphons. The 6’5, 270 pound offensive lineman from Cambridge, Ontario will join the team for the 2014 OUA season.

“I chose the University of Guelph because from the moment I stepped on the campus for my visit it felt like home,” explained Starczala of his decision.  “Some factors that contributed to my decision where the academic support, the football program, and that the coaches are dedicated to making you a better overall person not just a football player.”

“It also helped that I know a few of the 2014 commits and some of the players on the team.”

Starczala comes to the Gryphons after completing his high school career with Jacob Hespeler Hawks of the Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association (WCSSAA).  Additionally, the offensive lineman has suited up for the Cambridge Lions of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
