Stamps (JV) score easy victory

Burlington Stampeder Junior Varsity Ontario Football Conference (OFC) team defeated the visitors from Hamilton Wentworth by a final of 50 to 0 in tier 1 OFC action Sunday afternoon at Notre Dame High School.

From the very first drive of the game the Stampeders used their tight end power running game to out muscle and out leverage their opponent. The first half scoring was led by Stamp running back #30, Mercer Timmins, with 3 touchdowns. The other first half touchdown was scored by #2, Wes Livermore (who had some dynamic returns all game). The big man, #64, Andrew Ziebart, converted all first half touchdowns to make it a 28 to 0 half time lead. Fullback, #33, Greg Coffin had a strong game run and pass blocking.

The Panthers mobile QB (& punter), #34, Jeremy Haggarty, had some nice run and pass plays but the Stampeder defense was stingy all day led by Rush End, #94, Troy Murphy and #17, DB Kyle Agent who had an interception in the 2nd half.
