St.FX X-Men commit has nothing but love for team

X-Men bring in an out-of-province commit to their Class of 2017

Kyle Van Der Raadt, a receiver from Notre Dame High School, is downright smitten with the St. Francis Xavier X-Men, so much so that he plans on playing with the team for the next four to five years.

“I’ve always loved St.FX. I love their team and the program and how they run things over there,” Van Der Raadt said. “The coaches are great. They get to know you and are there every step of the way to help you out.”

It never hurts to have a little guidance. University can be a bit of a trying time. Van Der Raadt will potentially be in school for many years to come. He is interested in Kinesiology with the goals of going into Physiotherapy. He said he committed to St.FX because he loves the school and it offered the program he wanted.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Van Der Raadt played with the Notre Dame Pride (Calgary Area High School Athletic Association) and the Calgary Mavericks (Calgary Area Midget Football Association). Standing at 6’3, 195lbs, he has played as a slotback, a tight end and a wide receiver.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
