St. FX Presidents Trophy winner rumoured to go #1 in CFL draft (Video)

The rumour on the CFL street is that Henoc Muamba is going to be the first player selected in the CFL draft. Muamba, who won the President’s Trophy last year as the top defensive player in the CIS, has booked a flight to Winnipeg this weekend.

Muamba impressed at the CFL evaluation camp in March. His testing was impressive and his one on one sessions were dominating. He is potential ‘ratio breaker’ if he gets into the starting lineup because linebacker is traditionally an American position.

The CFL Scouting Bureau has him ranked 3rd behind Rice’s Scott Mitchell (Ottawa) and Calgary’s Anthony Parker (Okotoks, AB).
