St.FX commit reuniting with brother

St.FX adds a Nova Scotia commit to their Class of 2018.

By Joe Chrvala.

Jonathan Spilman, a receiver from Charles P. Allen High School, will be reuniting with a special, former teammate of his when he joins the Saint Francis Xavier X-Men.

β€œMy brother plays running back at StFX, and getting to play with him again was a major reason (why) I decided to commit,” Spilman said. He added he also chose StFX because of the school’s reputation and the fact it’s a great school and team.

β€œThe coaching staff as been great. They’ve been very helpful answering all my questions and I can’t wait to get to work with them,” the future business student said.

Spilman, who is from Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, didn’t begin his career until he was in grade 11. The 6’2, 180lbs safety and receiver played with the Charles P. Allen Cheetahs (Nova Scotia Athletic Federation Football League). This past season, he was a NSAFFL 2nd-team all-star.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
