British Columbia running back becomes fourth CFC TOP 100 player to join CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

The Manitoba Bisons have grabbed yet another CFC TOP 100 ranked player.

Jamel Lyles is the newest member of the Bisons family. The 5ā€™11, 200 pound running back from Surrey, British Columbia will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

Ultimately, Lyles was impressed with everything the Winnipeg, Manitoba school had to offer and also could envision the potential for great things to happen with the football program.

ā€œI choose Manitoba for one the atmosphere out there was unreal and it felt like family instantly,ā€ said Lyles. ā€œI know that we can get it done and achieve big things.ā€

ā€œThe University of Manitoba program is like no other I’ve seen before the facility side of things is unreal how things are set up there they are going to achieve big things.ā€

The offensive threat recently played for the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).Ā  In 2013, Lyles was selected as a Provincial ā€˜AAAā€™ Offensive All-Star as well as a BCHSFA Eastern Conference All-Star as he amassed 2400 rushing yards, scored 37 rushing touchdowns and 47 all-purpose majors.

With this signing, Lyles becomes the fourth CFC TOP 100 player to commit to the Bisons for the 2014 season.Ā  He joins offensive lineman Christian Krause, quarterback Ashton MacKinnon and offensive lineman Braedan Cheang in this elite group.
