Austin has played for both the Markham Raiders of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Bill Crothers Colts of the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA).

The Colts standout will continue to train on the field and and excel in the classroom as he takes the title of student Athlete very seriously.

“I am a football player that is determined to achieve set goals, and play football to the best of my ability, and at the highest level,” says Austin, who hopes to gain a career in sports media. “I’m also focused on my academics as I am committed to being a student-athlete.”

However, he is determined on achieving his ultimate dream.

“I want to become a professional football player or a sports broadcaster,” adds Austin.  “As I have a passion for sport and would love to keep it involved in my life down the line.”

This upcoming spring, Austin plans to participate in the Ontario Prospects Challenge (OPC). He has one main goal – to impress the coaches and scouts with his hard work and likeable personality.

“I want to show them how great of a competitor I am,” adds the Colts defensive back.  “I’m a hardworking football player.”

“I also want to show them what I am capable of doing. I want to show them how good of a person I am on and off the field.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
