Simon Fraser Clan signs trio of #CFC100 recruits (VIDEO)

This afternoon, NCAA Division 2 team Simon Fraser Clan unveiled their 2016 Class during National Signing Day.

Highlighting the Clan’s class was the addition of three #CFC100 recruits, all from the British Columbia area.

Gavin Cobb 2015 Championship

Gavin Cobb joins the Clan after a strong campaign with the Mount Douglas Rams of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA). Ā The 5’11, 170 pound athlete from Victoria helped the Rams win the Provincial ‘AAA’ Championship in December.

The league recognized Cobb as he was awarded BC ‘AAA’ Player of the Year. Other honours he has received during his career include Rams junior varsity MVP (2013) and Rams Varsity MVP (2014) and Mount Douglas’ Allan Macdonald Premier Athletic Award (2014).

Jeff Lugtu SFU

Moreover, the Clan signed Jeff Lugtu. Ā The 5’8 200 pound linebacker completed his career with the BCHSFA’s New Westminster Hyacks. In 2015, he was selected as a BCHSFA ‘AAA’ Conference All-Star.

Rysen John

Finally, Rysen John rounds out the #CFC100 recruits to sign with the Clan. Ā The 6’7, 192 pound receiver from Vancouver led the BCHSFA’s Vancouver College Fighting Irish to the Provncial ‘AAA’ Championship Final. Ā This past season, he was selected as a BCHSFA ‘AAA’ Provincial All-Star.
