Marc-Olivier Gagné, a safety from Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, has no doubt that one day he will have his moment with the Sherbrooke Vert & Or.

“I feel like I’ll have my opportunity to play,” he said. “I felt very welcomed by the coaches and the players there. They (the coaches) look very close to their players.”

Gagné, who is interested in administration, added that he believes the coaches know the game well. “I like their philosophy and mentality about the game,” he said.

Standing at 5’11, 188lbs, he has won two provincial championships in 2012 and 2014. He also has multiple defensive MVP titles to his name. A member of Les Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit (RSEQ Division 1), Gangé said he was also recruited for his long snapping ability. In 2017, he was cited as a player to watch by Nicholas Melsbach, the team’s head coach.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
