Saskatchewan boasts of some tremendous talent

Now that the CFC50 high school All-Star teams have and are being released, let’s take a closer look at who the 25 players are who made the list.

After serving as Saskatchewan’s beat writer for canadafootballchat.com (CFC) over the course of this season, I spent multiple months watching film, examining statistics and attending games. We decided to honor some of Saskatchewan’s finest high school football players by compiling an all-star team. This province contains so many talent players, which made selecting players difficult. However, without further ado, here is CFC’s 2017 Saskatchewan CFC50 All-Star Team.

Offense

QB Josh Donnelly (LeBoldus Golden Suns, Regina)

Josh was spectacular in his senior season to absolutely no one’s surprise. He led the Schwann Conference in completions with 108, passing yards with 1900, and touchdowns with 15 while only throwing one interception. Donnelly is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation and will have a big decision to make in the upcoming months, as he decides where he’ll be playing university football.

The Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (FPC) is a series of elite showcase games that feature the best tackle football players from across Canada aged 12-19 years. Tournaments are played in Central Canada (ON) and the West Coast (BC).
