Prince George running back joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class

Isaac Rogers will be calling the Prairies home for the next few years.

The 6’0, 205 pound running back from Prince George, British Columbia signed with University of Saskatchewan Huskies. Β Rogers will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

Overall, there were multiple reasons why Rogers opted to begin his CIS career in Saskatchewan.

“I chose the University of Saskatchewan because it’s always kind of been the place I wanted to play football after high school,” explained the running back. Β “I think Saskatchewan is a great place and it’s where half if my family is originally from.”

“The university offers political science and that appeals to me as well as criminology. I think the program is great, with a great facility and staff.”

Rogers suited up for the Prince George Secondary School Polars of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA) where he amassed 1500 yards on 140 carries (average of 172 yards per game). Β The offensive standout was selected as a BCHSFA Provncial All-Star.
