The junior G-Men dropped a 21-7 decision to the Ottawa Myers Riders while their senior cousins were unceremoniously skunked 24-0 by the Ottawans.

Broeghan Carroll tallied the lone touchdown for the juniors, who trailed 14-0 at halftime and saw their record level at 2-2.

In the senior tilt, Ottawa led 6-0 after just one play — the opening kick-off which a Rider returned 80 yards for a major.

The G-Men offence struggle, amassing a little better than 200 total yards. Quarterback Derek Wendel made the best of horrendous playing conditions, completing just five of 18 passes for 56 yards.

Running back Josh Thompson carried 17 times for 70 yards, the bulk of the team’s 159 rushing yards.

The loss lowered the senior club’s mark to 1-2-1 heading into Saturday’s road contest against the Cornwall Wildcats.

The juniors return to action Sunday against the host Pickering Dolphins.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
