Recruiting Wrap Part 2: Laval snag two CFC60 commits

In the second part of this week’s recruiting wrap-up, the OUA and RSEQ luck out on their recruiting as three CFC ranked commits and a FPC participant join the ranks of U Sports commits.

Laval

CFC60 Edouard Arsenault

Edouard Arsenault, a receiver from CΓ©gep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, knows he is in good hands with the Rouge et Or coaches. β€œI chose Laval University because it is the place I know that, after four or five years, I will have developed the most,” he says. β€œAlso, this is the place where I felt most comfortable with the coaches.”

He adds that, β€œThe coaches are experienced. They have been part of the organization for a long time. They know the league well and how to develop a player well. In addition, they put you at ease from the first contact.”

Arsenault, who is in business with a concentration finance, says that their spots and academic coaching was ideal. β€œIt demonstrated seriousness both at the football and school level,” he adds.

Standing at 6’3”, 185lbs, Arsenault played with L’Impact du CollΓ¨ge Durocher Saint-Lambert (RSEQ) for four years and Les GΓ©ants de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (RSEQ Division 1) for three years. The resident of Saint-Lambert, QuΓ©bec was a 2019 RSEQ all-star.

CFC60 Emile Malenfant

Emile Malenfant is a running back from Les Γ‰lans du CΓ©gep Garneau (RSEQ Division 1). He is 5’10”, 200lbs and calls QuΓ©bec City, QuΓ©bec home.

Ottawa

FPC Isaac Rivalin

Receiver Isaac Rivalin played with the Marion Graham Falcons (SSSAD) in high school. The product of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is 5’9”, 150lbs and played in the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge.

Western

CFC100 Simon King

Simon King, a linebacker from the St. Francis Browns (CHSAA), is heading to Ontario to run with the Mustangs. He stands at 6’4”, 215lbs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
