The CFC Player Rankings Directory is one of the newest tools for our CFCINSIDERS. Before it was created, we’d often see prospects breaking down the rankings to proclaim they’re “the 2nd best linebacker in Alberta”, but there was no real way to view each province individually. In other words, it took a lot of work to figure out, but now the CFC Player Rankings Directory allows you to breakdown the rankings by province, position, and class.

This is not only useful to prospects who made the final rankings, but also to everybody gunning for a spot on the list. Before a prospect would be faced with a wall of 100 names to overcome if they wanted to find a spot. Now it makes the task a lot more digestible if you’re looking at a list of the top 10 players in your province or position, which will give you a great idea about what you need to improve.

Obviously just staring at the list of names isn’t going to get you anywhere. Next step is to take an hour out of your day to do a little bit of research about the prospects ranked above you, and to the best of your abilities, figure out what’s giving them the edge when our scouts put on the tape. It’s as simple as searching the CFC Player Video Database, or just pop “Joey Football Hudl” in Google, and you should be able to find every single prospect we’ve got listed in the directory.

If you want to take your research to the next level, you can also search for any name on CFC, and more than likely you’ll be met with an Uttley’s Top Prospects, a profile, or an analysis article that can provide some insight into why a certain player made the rankings. You’d be amazed at the different paths prospects take along the way, and you never know what piece of advice you’ll run across that might inspire you to take a different route.
