RECAP: Cheetahs & CNDF remain undefeated – CFC 100 standouts prominent in victories

After three weeks of CEGEP Division 1 play, both Notre-Dame-de-Foy (CNDF)  and the Vanier Cheetahs remain undefeated and on top of their respective divisions.

As Seminaire Saint Francois, Alexis Cote scored three touchdowns as CDNF cruised to a 47-24 victory over Levis-Lauzon Faucons.

Karym Kartsonis tallied two majors and had 81 yards on four receptions (average of 20.3 yards per reception) while David Pelletier scored a touchdown in the victory.

CFC 100 pivot Samuel Chenard completed 12 passes in 18 attempts for 251 yards and four passing touchdowns.  David Cote added five PAT’s.

On defense, CFC 100 Jean-Sebastien Belisle caught an interception.  Additionally, CFC 100 Louis-Philippe St-Amant recorded a sack.  Alexandre Hardy registered nine tackles while Cedric Vaillancourt added 8.5 tackles.  Jean-Philippe Hudon also recorded a sack.

CNDF Week 3 win

For the Faucons, Alexandre Gagnon and Antoine Mailhot each scored a touchdown.  Louis-Charles Moisan was successful on three conversion attempts in the loss.

Raphael Faucher recorded a sack while Olivier Dionne registered nine tackles to lead the Faucons defense.

Dev Lamour 1

VANIER CHEETAHS 18, MONTMORENCY NOMADES 10:

At Concordia Stadium, CFC 100 Dev Lamour and Pearce Denver Dumay each tallied a major as the Vanier Cheetahs remain undefeated as the team got by Montmorency Nomades 18-10.

Dimitrios Sinodinos completed eight passes in 11 attempts for 164 yards and a passing touchdown.  Mathieu Bradley racked up 63 yards on two receptions (average of 31.5 yards per reception).

Francois Hamel Week 3 CEGEP

Kean Harelimana caught an interception and registered nine tackles for the Cheetahs defense.  CFC 100 Francois Hamel added eight tackles.  Jordan Perrin-Boutet and Zack Fitzgerald each caught an interception in the win.

Eric Parr scored the lone touchdown for the Nomades.  David Rompre added a field goal and a PAT.

Max-Henley Philogene and Gregory Joseph Jean each caught an interception in the loss.  Walid Batassa Jean-Juse Decayette and Philogene each registered five tackles.

Marc-Antoine Pivin versus FX-Garneau

CHAMPLAIN-LENNOXVILLE COUGARS 58, FX-GARNEAU ELANS 24:

At FX-Garneau, the visiting Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars cruised to a 58-24 victory over the Elans.

Guillaume Caron caught an interception and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown.  Marc Antoine Pivin tallied a major and had 126 yards on four receptions (average of 31.5 yards per reception).  CFC 100 Cedric Joseph, Philippe Lessard-Vezina and Maxime Bouffard each scored a touchdown in the win.

Pivot Michael Arruda completed 15 passes in 25 attempts for 323 yards and three passing touchdowns for the Cougars. Dominic Levesque was successful on eight conversion attempts.

Arruda Week 3 CEGEP

Alexandre Lebreton caught an interception and recorded a sack on defense.  Guillaume Caron caught an interception while Frederik Robitaille added a sack.  Dominic Brazeau registered 4.5 tackles while CFC 100 Cedric Lussier-Roy and Adam Auclair each added four tackles for the Cougars.

For the Elans, William Blais, William Tremblay-Harnois and Kevin Bourbonnais each tallied a major.  Alexandre Morgan Zaor had 109 receiving yards on eight receptions (average of 13.6 yards per reception).

Nicolas Viens led the Elans defense as he caught an interception and registered 6.5 tackles in the loss.

Spartiates Week 3 CEGEP
