Rams strength receiving core, add 2

Rams welcome one local and one southern Saskatchewan commit to their 2019 class.

Receivers Mason Novik from Sheldon-Williams Collegiate and CJ Vincent from Central Collegiate will be adding their talents to the University of Regina Rams’ receiving core.

Mason Novik

Deciding to become a Ram wasn’t a tough decision for Mason Novik. β€œ(It was my) only offer and it’s my hometown school, so it was a no brainer,” he said with a laugh. β€œAlso, I have known a few great people that have played as a Regina Ram.”

The product of Regina, Saskatchewan, added that the coaches are all positive people who want to get better everyday. That is a mentality he is familiar with. β€œI always am trying to be a better me,” he said.

In his nine years of football, Novik has played for numerous RMF teams. He was also a member of the Sheldon-Williams Spartans (RHSAA). The 5’10, 165lbs wide receiver and slotback has won several accolades. In 2016 he was the Sheldon rookie of the year and rising star. The following year he was offensive player and RHSAA player of the week. This season he helped the Spartans win a city championship.

CJ Vincent

CJ Vincent is heading to Regina, Saskatchewan, from his home in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was a member of the Central Cyclones (MJHSAA) where he played as a slotback and defensive back. He is 6’1, 180lbs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
