As an offensive leader, Ben Langlois is a confident pressure performer.

“I love playing quarterback because it’s a pressure packed position that requires leadership, poise, confidence and it comes with a great deal of responsibility,” explained the 5’10, 181 pound Ontario quarterback.  “I love being in the huddle with my teammates, calling the play and executing the play on the field!”

Throughout his career, Langlois has demonstrated his passion for the pivot positon while playing for both the York Simcoe Bucs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and St. Max Maximillian Kolbe Mustangs of the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA).

“I enjoy being relied upon by my coaches and teammates to lead the team to success and victory,” added the quarterback.  “Not to mention I love to throw the football for touchdowns!”

“I take control of the offence and never hold anything back while on the field. I trust the decisions I make for my team, never second guessing myself.”

Langlois emulates his playing style to a couple of south of the border pivots – Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Marcus Mariota of NCAA Division 1’s Oregon Ducks.

Next weekend, he will participate in QB Canada Mississauga clinic.  Also in early May, Langlois will take part in the Ontario Prospect Challenge.  Overall, he is looking forward to both events as chances to develop and refine his skills.

“I am excited about the opportunity to compete with and against great athletes,” said the Mustangs quarterback.  “I am also excited about playing on a professional field in the Ontario Prospects Challenge.”

Ultimately, Langlois is hopeful that all these gridiron opportunities will lead him to realizing his dream.

“My goal as a quarterback is to play University/College football and hopefully one day to play as a professional,” expressed Langlois.
