Philip Fortin credits mother for finding football

Philip Fortin never thought he’d play football. Thankfully for him, his mother decided to put him into the sport after seeing how aggressive he was on the ice and “the rest is history.”

“My mom actually signed me up for football. I was a nine-year-old hockey player who seemed aggressive and big on the ice and always in the penalty box,” Fortin said. “I was not aggressive purposely, it’s just I was very big and strong and I always seemed to bump onto my opponents down on the ice or in the boards. So my mom who wanted me to play a sport, googled football in our area.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
