Peterborough takes two of three games

All three Peterborough Wolverines football teams were in action Saturday (June 15).

The Bantam Wolverines travelled to Vaughan to take on the Rebels and extended their winning streak to three games, defeating the Vaughan 41-6. Scoring for the Wolverines was, Ryan Astrom and Emerson DeCarlo with two TD’s each, while   Andrew Wood and Connor Murney scored one each. Shamus Drumm kicked 4 converts. The Bantams now hold a 3-1 record.

The Junior Varsity Wolverines were in Barrie taking on the Huronia Stallions. The Wolverines handed the Stallions their first lost of the year, with a convincing a 23-2 win. Patrick Pearson, Braden Frise and Ryan Wardley had a touchdown each, while Matt Baron kicked two converts and a 22 yard field goal.  The Wolverines improve their record to 4-0 on the season.

The Senior Varsity Wolverines were in tough with the Ramsey Conference leading Huronia Stallions. The Wolverines were lost the game 55-7. Jordan Burtt scored the lone TD for the Wolverines, while Warren Reed kicked the convert. The Wolverines fall to 1-3 on the season.

The Wolverines return home Saturday June 22 at Kenner Collegiate. Junior Varsity host the Clarington Knights at 11 a.m., while the Bantams host the Niagara Storm at 1:30 p.m. and the Senior Varsity squad host the Clarington Knights at 4 p.m.
