Path to the Draft: The case for NT Julien Laurent

When it comes to assessing a player’s contribution to a game, stats are the easiest and least time-consuming means of generating a report. But, stats are the most misleading method of assessing a player’s performance, especially for defensive lineman. Tackles and sacks can’t be taken into consideration without context, which makes it especially difficult to gauge a players contribution unless one is willing to watch an entire game.

This is never truer than the performance of Markham, Ontario’s Julien Laurent in the week three matchup between Georgia State and Penn State.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
