Ottawa invaders add Wayne Carle to coaching staff

Ottawa Invaders Head Coach Ken Evraire is proud to announce the addition of Wayne Carle to the 2011 Invaders coaching staff. Carle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Invaders staff that will be invaluable as the team’s running backs coach.

β€œWayne’s approach to coaching up athletes and demanding a high degree of football aptitude will mesh well with the coaching staff that is presently in place. He is a proven winner and will play a key role in seeing our offence challenge the best defenses in the NFC ” says Coach Evraire

Carle has coached 15 teams over the last 10 years, the majority of that time spent coaching with the Cumberland Panthers Minor Football organization. No less than 6 of those teams won NCAFA City Championships and 8 of them were Eastern Conference Champions.

β€œI am excited and looking forward to working with this professional coaching staff. After seeing the first year’s great results, it is easy to see this team and organization are heading in the right direction. The coaches they have secured all have incredible resumes as players and coaches which will directly translate into a successful program. This team is a great opportunity for young men in Ottawa to continue following their tackle football dream and to play the best game in sports at a high level and I am excited to be a part of it.” (Wayne Carle – Ottawa Invaders Running Backs Coach)

Wayne also played senior men’s touch football in the ONTFL from 1987 until 2008 and won 17 city, 6 Provincial, and 5 National Championships.

The St. Catherines, Ontario native played on both sides of the ball, leading his high school team to 4 City Championships.
