Ottawa Gee Gees: Applications for Assistant Head Coach position (due Feb 11)

Job Summary

Working in a holistic environment in developing student-athletes, the Assistant Football Coach will support the Head Football Coach to allow the program to meet its’ objectives.

The Assistant Football Coach will assist in recruiting football student-athletes to the University of Ottawa and finding resources to meet the program enhancement needs. The Assistant Football Coach will also assist in organizing the football camps, both youth and university, as well as football alumni & community events and other fundraising initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

[*]Post secondary education
[*]Technical knowledge of football with NCCP Level 2 or equivalent
[*]Proven technical knowledge of current strength and conditioning techniques
[*]Experience coaching football
[*]Strong Communication and Organizational Skills
[*]Understanding of the university environment
[*]Computer knowledge and ability to work in Excel, MS Word, Outlook Express
[*]Ability to work independently, in a team, under pressure and to organize work to meet firm deadlines
[*]Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written) would be an asset

[*]This position requires to work non traditional hours such as weekends and evenings
