Ontario recruit signs with Bishop’s

Stittsville wide receiver joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

Kiell Barrie is moving provinces to begin his CIS career.

Recently, the 5’11, 190 pound wide receiver from Stittsville, Ontario signed with Bishop’s Gaiters.  Barrie will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

“I wanted to go to Bishop’s mainly because of the small school atmosphere and I’ve heard many good things about their business program,” explained Barrie of his decision.  “For the football team, I’ve heard they like to pass so of course being a receiver that appealed to me.”

Among the teams Barrie has suited up for during his gridiron career include Ottawa Myers Riders of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Bel-Air Norsemen of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).

This past season with the Norsemen, the receiver racked up 550 yards on 28 receptions.  Moreover, Barrie was selected as a NCAFA All-Star in 2014.
