Ontario Prospect Challenge Top 100 Profile: Smyth has college football dreams

Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Spencer Smyth.  Spencer is one of 600 players who will be participating in the TOP 100 CAMPS in April.

Position: Linebacker

Height/Weight: 6’0″/190 lbs

School Status as of September 2013: Grade 10

Current Team(s): Hamilton Hurricanes/ Hamilton Jr. Ti-Cats

Many of Ontario’s best came out to participate in the Ontario Prospect Challenge this past fall, and Spencer Smyth was one of them.

Since starting his football career five years ago, Smyth has accomplished a lot on and off the field. He chose to participate in the OPC because he believed “it will be a good opportunity to gain more football experience and to become a better player”.

His goals include playing in the NCAA or the CIS after high school. Although he is still very young, the future is bring for this Ontario football player.

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge completed in 2013.  April TOP 100 Camps & May Game has been scheduled.
