Today CFC features Ontario Prospect Challenge participant Ryan Astrom.

Position: Quarterback

Height/Weight: 5’9″/165 lbs

School Status as of September 2013: Grade 9

Current Team: Crestwood Secondary School/Peterborough Wolverines (Bantam)

The Ontario Prospect Challenge is going into week three, as some on Ontario’s best players have come to try out to be on CFC’s top 100 list. So far we have seen some great players including defensive standout, Trevelle Wisdom.

Ryan Astrom may have just started high school, but is excited about the opportunity to compete among the best.

When asked why he chose to participate in the OPC, Astrom said, “To get recognized and get my name out there and have a chance to play with and against the best players in the province.” He also wants “to make the team as a Gr.9 and develop my skills through drills from other coaches.”

He has a long career ahead of him, and the OPC is an excellent opportunity to shine in front of coaches and scouts years in advance.

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge begin September 21st.Ā  A ā€˜one-timeā€™ tryout fee allows you to compete in as many tryouts as you wish.Ā Ā  CLICK HERE for registration information.
