Jason Parent started playing in the Ligue de Football Mineur de L’Outaouais (LFMO) in Gatineau at the age of 10.

The receiver then played three years with the Gatineau Vikings, at the mosquito level and peewee.

Jason then started playing for his high school team the L’Érablière Jaguars, one year in cadet and now juvenilles.

The Jaguar was part of the Outaouais MU15 selection in 2013 and 2014, as well as MU17 in 2015.

He was also selected for this past Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) junior varsity top 100, but had to drop out due to injury, so he is trying again this year.

“The goals for the OPC are to get a different experience in coaching, also the level of playing with all these different kids from different teams and experiences and most of all create new bonds with players from other teams,” said Jason.

During his offseason training is a huge concern, he trains at Optimun Performance Athletique (OPA) in Gatineau.

“My graduating year is 2017 and my goal is to keep playing football and try to be the best I can be…” said the receiver, who would like to make the #CFC100 list.

Overall, he is passionate about the game for a few key reasons.

“The reason I love football is this is a team sport with high intensity and contact and there is nothing like a play coming together and ending with a touchdown,” commented the Jaguars standout.
