William Bradford started playing football at the age of four for the St-Lazare Stallions.
This past spring William played for the Glengarry Gaels, who won the mosquito championship and he was named the teams defensive MVP.
This upcoming year, he plans to play wide receiver for the Western Patriotes in the Montreal Regional Football League (MRFL).
Last winter the Patriote attended camps hosted by Coach Ron Raymond and Coach Jean Guilliaume in Alexandria.
ā[I] also travelled to Ottawa for training sessions at the āTurn Up Sundays,āā said William. āThis summer I attended the Montreal Alouettes Jr camp and a summer camp by the University de Montreal Carabins.ā
Williamās goal for football this year is to make the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) Eastern Minor team as either a wide receiver or defensive back, and help out the team in any way he can.
āI love to play football because of the feeling I get from being a part of a team,ā commented the Patriote standout. āI like the challenge to show what I can do when Iām on the field.ā
āI really like all the friends I make playing football.”
Moreover, the wide receiver/defensive backās football idols are Ray Lewis and Sean Taylor.
āRay Lewis is a great leader, motivator and great tackler,ā explained William. āSean Taylor was a great safety and a really hard worker, these are qualities I really like.ā
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
