The Ontario Prospect Challenge is an unique opportunity for all players to shine in front of some of Canada’s best coaches and trainers. Sean Coomey has decided that the challenge will give him the perfect opportunity to learn not only from coaches, but some of the best players Ontario has to offer as well.

Since starting football three years ago, Coomey has gone through a successful position change from running back to quarterback. Already he has earned the starting QB position for his local rep team and is on the roster at his high school.

“I wanted  to tryout for this because I felt it would give me an opportunity for a level of coaching from which i have not yet received,” says Coomey. “Also I love football and any chance to play, I’m gonna try and take it.”

Although Coomey is only in grade 10, the young player has many goals associated with football.

“Some of my goals are to keep advancing in my football career through different rep programs and opportunities like this to play CIS level football, or college level football.”

Tryouts (Phase 1) for the Ontario Prospect Challenge began September 21st.  A ‘one-time’ tryout fee allows you to compete in as many tryouts as you wish.   CLICK HERE for registration information.
