OMFL Mississauga Peewees have success at home

On a lovely Saturday morning for football, the Mississauga Warrior Ontario Minor Football League (OMFL) peewee team squared off against the visiting Halton Cowboys at St. Marcellinus Catholic High School. The game started with some immediate drama with an illegal kickoff then 2 plays later the Mississauga Warriors #43 James Jones picked off a Halton pass and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown.

The first quarter also included some nice pass plays from #9, QB, Devin Condlin, who hooked up with #14 Kian Schaffer-Baker and #99 Noemel Martinez. The second quarter saw much of the same with QB Condlin scrambling for a Warrior touchdown and #99 Martinez running in a touchdown from one yard out.

Much the same in the second half with #14 Schaffer-Baker returning the opening kick off for 70 yards before running out of gas. While the score ended 42 to 0 for the home team the Cowboys had outstanding performances from defensive player #77 Curtis Watt and #80 Rocky Iannaci who had a few successful reverse run plays.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
