Dunnville wide receiver newest recruit to join OUA team’s 2014 class.

Trey Gervais has found the right offensive system that he wants to play for in future years.

Consequently, the 6’2, 190 pound wide receiver from Dunnville, Ontario has signed with the Guelph Gryphons.  He will join the team for the 2014 OUA season.

“I chose to commit to Guelph because after my visit I fell in love with not only the school but with the coaching staff as well,” explained Gervais of his decision.  “They have a great football program at Guelph and I believe it’s a great fit/opportunity for myself and the team because not only does Guelph have a great quarterback but Guelph also has receivers that will push me to the best of my ability.”

“Also, Coach (BJ) Malott was my summer coach two summers ago and kept telling me how great of a fit I would be within their system as I’m familiar with a lot of players from the Niagara Region who are on the team.”

Among the teams Gervais  has played for include the Hamilton Hurricanes of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), the Niagara Storm and Lakeshore Catholic Gators of the Niagara Region High School Athletic Association (NRHSAA).

During his career, the wide receiver guided the Gators to an OFSAA Bowl Championship in 2012.  Moreover, he was the Storms Offensive MVP in 2011.
