Summary: A full day of rain made playing conditions challenging on a natural grass field. The Hurricanes scored a touchdown early in the first quarter and the hard-hitting, stingiest defense in the country then held the Beefeaters to just 1 point, ending London’s three game winning streak. The Hurricanes maintain top spot in the Ontario Football Conference, and are one of the top teams in the country.
Next game: At home, at the Mohawk Sports Complex, next Saturday, Sept. 28. It will be a battle for first place in the Ontario Football Conference, against the St. Leonard Cougars.
